Saying Good-bye

Feb 2011     Working hard      Saying Good-Bye      Tres Islas Mission week 2011  Home

During the last  few  weeks at FloreSer I was asked to help 2 of the girls with school projects. Of course with my lack of  Spanish and their lack of English well,  shall I say it was a challenge. but as the final projects were finished and I saw the  sparkle in there eyes I knew we  had  made a  challenage  of a  language barrier  a road to a wonderful  friendship.Helping with the final  touches on the finished dress.
A few of the girls were able to work with the industrial  machines,  Here  one  of the girls helps with the curtains  for  their bedrooms.

A  VERY VERY  SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MY NEW FRIEND   Carmen.  (who serves on FloreSer board of director, treasure) without her I  would have been  lost.  Here she is  inspecting one of many jobs she helped  acheive.MMMMMM  will  it work?  Checking out the curtains before I leave.
Yes  bedroom #1 #2 and #3 check

The tears were hard to hold back as we entered  the Sewing Center where I would show them what they had finished and how there bedrooms would look.

Gualdalia, my sister of Mexico for many years helps me in telling the girls how much they have all ment to me.

Checking it all out!

Ne
New sheets to go with the new quilts they all made,  new pillow to rest their heads on a new look for their home.

I am so proud of each girl for the accompolishments they acheived while I was there.  With each one I saw a  new light every day.  My welcome when I arrived, my  sweet good-byes as I left to return the next day.

A special visit with Andrea (Tres Islas Donor) and good friend. Maddie loved the sunshine.
